HONEST NORTHERN REVIEWS

Paul Heathcote has turned Bolton town hall's old staff canteen into a 'proper northern' restaurant - and it's proper good.

The Northern in the Albert Halls promises a local flavour - and delivers actual Paddy McGuinness.

It's stupidly good value for the quality of the cooking and produce, maybe reflecting the fact that most of the ingredients have only had to travel for a few miles down the road.

Never mind proper Northern - this place is proper good.
